Questa esperienza vi condurrà in un magico luogo costituito da un patrimonio culturale unico. “Andrea Camilleri” scrisse: “In un magico pomeriggio d’estate ad Agrigento ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere l’ultimo grande Maestro Carradore – Raffaele La Scala – e gli ultimi due meravigliosi carretti che aveva fabbricato. Ancora maggiore è stata la mia emozione quando a San Leone ho potuto ammirare la maestria di Raffaele mentre ne scolpiva un altro. Quei suoi gesti raccontano e spero continuino a raccontare la presenza viva di una tradizione che purtroppo è destinata a scomparire”.
L’Assessorato regionale dei BB.CC. e PI, nello specifico Libro dei tesori umani viventi, riconosce Raffaele, per la sua arte e per le sue abilità, un “bene culturale”, degno di essere annoverato fra i beni immateriali da tutelare.
Marcello La Scala, il figlio, non è comisano come il padre Raffaele, ma ne ha ereditato cultura, abilità e valori e ci guiderà fra le opere d’arte che il padre Raffaele costruì durante la sua vita.

This experience will lead you into a magical place composed of a unique cultural heritage. Andrea Camilleri wrote: “On a magical summer afternoon in Agrigento I was fortunate enough to meet the last great Carradore Master – Raffaele La Scala – and the last two wonderful carriages he built. Even greater was my emotion when in San Leone I was able to admire Raffaele’s mastery while he sculpted another. I hope his gestures tell and will continue to tell the living presence of a tradition which unfortunately is destined to disappear.”
The Regional Council of the BB.CC. and PI, in the specific Book of Human Living Treasures,
recognize Raffaele, for his art and his skills, as a “cultural asset” worthy of being counted among the intangible assets to be protected.
Marcello La Scala, his son, has inherited his culture, his skills and values and will guide us among the works of art that his father Raffaele built during his life.
The experience can be enriched by a convivial dinner with the family “La Scala”.
